Really nice place, so much choice for drinks and desserts. Took a while for the food and drinks to arrive despite it being quite quiet but when it did arrive it was lovely. Would recommend balancing the intense sweetness of the drinks with something savoury. The sticky toffee coffe was lovely but the cream to coffee ratio was a bit too sickly for me. The marvelous melt sandwich was lovely with a nice hint of spice

Booked in here for a lunch time treat whilst in Edinburgh. The choice of savoury dishes is limited but this is made up by the amount of sweets to follow on. Our food was lovely & we indulged in some cocktails, also lovely. The service was not as attentive as we hoped but generally just okay, although it could be better. Definitely worth a visit as a one off, just bare in mind it's quite expensive for what it is.
Visited here last night around 8pm for desserts and we were not disappointed. Welcomed with a lovely smile and taken to the window seat which was wonderful at night. We ordered a normal hot chocolate and a white hot chocolate, strawberry cheesecake and lotus milk cake. All presented beautifully and tasted great. The atmosphere is lovely, very clean and well decorated. Staff and service is good. We will return for sure.
The location is great, quite pleasant atmosphere, the background music gets a bit too dynamic closer to the evening.
Advice: this is a conceptual spot, to enhance the experience check out their website and learn about the “keys”, the approach to the names and specialities.
Menu is full of exciting dessert options, including the ones that involve your creativity in building up your own masterpiece.
The deserts are quite pricey but portion size is big (in my personal experience) too big for one if going after dinner.
When it comes to taste, it’s a good 4*, the presentation elevates expectations.
Spicy Hash - was nice, but hash wasn’t spicy unfortunately.
Sticky Toffee French Toast - Surprisingly very nice, exceeded expectations from a French Toast. Nicely balanced flavors, cinnamon ice cream fits perfectly.
An Offer She Can’t Refuse -a nice Belgian waffle with chocolate, strawberries and ice cream, nicely executed.
Tea - big pot for 2, from tea bags but quite fragrant.
Service was great, the chef was kind to make an option from a brunch menu in the evening which was very much appreciated.
As someone with a sweet tooth I’ll definitely be back, as the menu still has plenty of curiosities to taste.
The pictures of this place had drawn us in. Although I was going in a little skeptical because I thought it might be like the many dessert restaurants I’ve been to which have been disappointing. However I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It’s pristine clean and immaculate. The service is on point. We didn’t have to wait long for our order and the servers were professional. The menu is great. Lots to choose from. You’ve got your usuals like pancakes, crepes, cookie dough, waffles but they also do a variety of other desserts that are more unique. They also seem update their menu which is good to see that they are keeping things fresh. They also do a whole brunch menu which looks awesome. We got a couple of milkshakes to start with which were excellent! Best milkshake I’ve had in a while. After, my wife got the eggsplosion which is a chocolate egg with brownie inside and you get to melt the egg with hot chocolate. My wife thought this was a little sickly and couldn’t quite finish it. Thankfully I was there to save the day. I got the locus biscoff croffle but they didn’t have any croffles left so I had it with Belgian waffles instead. This dessert was very nice! Much tastier than I thought it would be. We were in and out the restaurant within 25 mins, quick and tasty! We did find that it was very expensive for what it was. The bill came to over £40 which is crazy considering we only got a couple of drinks and desserts. I am quite confident in saying that this is the best dessert restaurant I’ve been to in Edinburgh. I’d like to come back to try the brunch menu but be prepared for a hefty bill.
I'm not sure why the place has this high rating as we had a disappointing experience both with the food and with the service.
We had the avo perfect day which was one of the blandest avocado toasts we ever had. The eggs were not poached, they had a weird texture, they were not runny at all.
The strawberry velvet French toast was incredibly dry and it felt like eating cardboard.
The mocktails were OK.
The staff didn't really pay attention to the guests, we had to call them to change the cutlery for the dessert.
We waited a long time for the check even though the place was not that full, we had to ask twice for it as the first worker forgot to bring it.
